Firstly, we would like to thank you for taking an interest in registering as an introducer with Norton Broker Services.

Before you complete our registration form, there are a couple of things we require our introducers to have:

  • A minimum of Credit Broking permissions with the FCA
  • A Data Protection licence number from the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Unfortunately, if you don’t have both of these, we can’t work together. However, both of these requirements are relatively easy to obtain.

To register with the FCA, click here. There is a cost involved in registering with the FCA, which ranges from £1,500 – £25,000, depending on the complexity of the application. The FCA website states, ‘most financial advisers, mortgage brokers and general insurance intermediaries’ applications will be straightforward with a fee of £1,500”.

To register with the ICO, click here. Again, there is a cost involved and this is based on the size and turnover of your business. The payment ranges from £40-£2,900, but for most businesses it will be £40-£60. The ICO offers a fee assessment tool, to see how much you will need to pay.

If you have all the above then you’re good to go! Once we have received you registration application, it will be checked and approved by our Compliance Department (within 24 hours). You will receive an activation email once this is done. Then you’re free to submit your cases over to us, through your online portal.

Once your account is activated, you’ll be assigned a Broker Account Manager, who will give you a call and answer any further queries you have about any cases, or our products and services. We’ll also offer you a visit for training and information on how to best work with us – if that’s something you’d prefer.

We look forward to working with you in the future. If you do have any questions that haven’t been answered above, then don’t hesitate to get in touch with the team here.
